The Alassio cyclepath

Our cyclepath allows you to explore the beautiful hills and get active at the same time.

It starts and finishes close to the tourist office (IAT) at Via Mazzini 68. From there, it heads west as it snakes its way uphill to the ruined church of San Bernardo. It is worth taking a break at the church to enjoy the stunning views of the sea and the bay below. Continue on, climbing up towards the sanctuary of Madonna della Guardia, which is the highest and most beautiful point of the cyclepath.

From there, you can savour the wonderful views ranging from the Ligurian Alps, with summits topping 2,600 metres, to the vast expanse of the deep blue ocean.

After this feast for the eyes, you can set off downhill via the church of Santa Croce, with its romantic viewpoint, overlooking the port and Gallinara island. You can be certain that it will be an unforgettable experience!

This cycle touring route is open all year round and comprises a 22 km waymarked asphalted route through the hills above the town. There are also four off-road trails designed with e-bike riders in mind, featuring a mixture of asphalted and unpaved surfaces. This allows you to choose a route that suits your abilities and aims. Whatever your choice, one thing is certain: the views will be truly breathtaking!!
